Common Macros

When making a macro, remember that the actual item or spell needs to be spelled and capitalized exactly how it is in the game.  For example, when casting Stoneskin, the macro should read /ma “Stoneskin” <me> not /ma “stoneskin” <me>.  You must do this with items, equipment, weaponskills, job abilities and spells.

Provoke

Utsusemi: Ichi

Weaponskill

Utsusemi: Ni

Ninja Debuffs

TP

Provoke

/p Provoking <bt>

/ja “Provoke” <bt>

/wait 15

/p Provoke ready in 15

/wait 15

/p Provoke Ready

You can also use <t> instead of <bt>

Weapon Skill Macro

/p Using Name of Weaponskill

/wait 1

/ws “Name of Weaponskill” <bt>

Ex:

/p Using Sturmwind

/wait 1

/ws “Sturmwind” <bt>

You can use <t> instead of <bt>

Pulling Macro

/p Pulling <t> Be Ready!

/ra <t>

If not pulling with range weapon, but provoke instead:

/p Pulling <t> Be Ready!

/ja “Provoke” <t>

If pulling with magic:

/p Pulling <t> Be Ready!

/ma “Name of Spell” <t>

Ex:

/p Pulling <t> Be Ready!

/ma “Dia” <t>

There are several more things you can pull with, but these three are then most common.  Just remember to first inform your party that you are pulling and then use your /ra, /ma, /ja or whatever else trick you may have up your sleeve.

TP Macro

/p TP is <tp>

TP Ready (Ready for SC)

/p TP = <tp> Ready for Skillchain!

Starting a Skillchain

/p Starting Skillchain in 1

/wait 1

/ws “Name of Weaponskill” <bt>

Ex:

/p Starting Skillchain in 1

/wait 1

/ws “Sturmwind” <bt>

You can use  <t> instead of <bt>

MP/HP Stat Call

/p MP <mp> | HP <hp>

MP Close to Being Depleted

/p MP is at <mpp>!!!! <call0>

Cure

/ma “Cure” <t>

You can use <st> instead of <t> and that will allow you to choose which person to cast it on.  Also, you can use <p0> - <p5> but you would need to make a separate macro for each of these.  Some people also like to include a party chat message before they cure, so the other mages know they are doing so, that macro would look like this:

/p Curing <t>

/ma “Cure” <t>

Utsusemi: Ichi

/nin “Utsusemi: Ichi” <me>

Utsusemi: Ni

/nin “Utsusemi: Ni” <me>

Ninja Debuffs

/nin “Powder Name” <t>

Ex:

/nin “Hyoton: Ichi” <t>

Spell Macro

/ma “Name of Spell” <t>

Ex:

/ma “Paralyze” <t>

You may also use <bt> instead when it’s an offensive spell and <st> when it’s a defensive spell.  Also, make sure you spell, capitalize, and space the name of the spell EXACTLY how it is in the game.  If you don’t the macro won’t work.

Charm Macro

/ja “Charm” <t>

Pet Command Macro

/pet “Name of Pet Ability” <t>

Ex:

/pet “Assault” <t>

Depending on the ability, you may want to use <me>, <bt>, or <st> instead of <t>

Pet TP

/echo <pettp>

Item Macro

/item “Name of Item” <me>

Ex:

/item “Poison Potion” <me>

Make sure you spell, capitalize, and space the item name EXACTLY how it appears in the game; otherwise it won’t work.

Equipment Swap Macro

/equip [slot] “Name of Item”

Ex:

/equip Main “Dark Staff”

The following was written up by Saleen of Caitsith (thanks Sal ^^):

General Outline for equipment swapping:

/equip <slot> "Name of Item"

Example:
/equip Main "Death Scythe"
/equip Neck "Healing Torque"
/equip Waist "Warwolf Belt"

You DO NOT have to put <me> afterwards, and you DO NOT need to put a wait in between each line for Equipment. The slot description does

NOT have to be capitalized, however the name of the item in quotes must match EXACTLY as the spelling of the item in your inventory.

For example with the slot:
/equip Main "Death Scythe"
is the same as
/equip main "Death Scythe"

However, as said before, the name of the item must match exactly as the description in your inventory.

For example:
/equip Main "Death Scythe"
is correct, however,
/equip Main "death scythe" is not.

A list of the slots to switch gear in and out of are:

Main
Sub
Range
Ammo
Head
Neck
Ear1
Ear2
Body
Hands
Ring1
Ring2
Back
Waist
Legs
Feet

So lets say you have 3 pieces of equipment you would like to swap out for a Weaponskill. The three pieces of equipment are

hands, neck, and your first Ring slot.

The macro would look something like this:

/equip Hands "Ogygos Bracelets"
/equip Neck "Spike Necklace"
/equip Ring1 "Sun Ring"
/ws "Fast Blade" <t>

As I mentioned before, you do not need to put a wait in between the equipment changes. However, if you were to add in another ability

such as Sneak Attack, then you would need a wait between the Sneak Attack and the WS to perform it successfully.

Now lets say you have more then 5-6 items you want to macro in for a WS, but there are only 6 lines per macro. What I have done in my

macro set (I currently have 10 pieces of equipment that get swapped in and out) is made 2 seperate macros for equipment only. I place these

macros next to my WS lines so that they are easily accessible. You place 6 pieces into one, and the remaining into another. Then you can

keep the WS macro with only the WS line in it. When you are ready for a WS you hit both the macros BEFORE the WS macro to equip

everything you need, then fire off the WS macro. Once the WS is done, I have 2 other seperate Macros to equip the original equipment (Acc

and Attack equipment).

Example:

Alt Lines:

0- STR (equips 6 pieces of equipment)
1- STR (equips the remaining equipment for the WS)
2- SA
3- TA
4- WS
5- WS
6- WS
7-
8- ACC (equips 6 Accuracy and attack items back in their slots)
9- ACC (equips the remaining gear back into their slots)

Of course everyone will have a different setup, but this is just one general example of how you can have the macros set up so that you

can easily access the macros to swap gear.

You can also make only one STR macro (6 items) and then put the remaining into the WS slots, but like I said, its all in preference

of how one would want to set it up.
